Comprehensive Packaging Management for GutBio (ALDI)
    The challenge
Brand Consistency Across a Diverse Technical EcosystemThe primary challenge was the execution and roll-out of the packaging for GutBio, ALDI’s flagship organic brand, within the Spanish and Portuguese markets. The project demanded absolute fidelity to the brand guidelines while managing an extensive range of product categories, formats, and a wide variety of packaging materials.
    Our Approach: 
    The Technical, Culinary, 
    and Operational Engine
We acted as the central hub for the project, controlling the entire packaging value chain from the initial technical data to the final printed product.
Technical Translation & Localization: We managed the complete linguistic transformation of the range. Suppliers often provided technical data sheets (TDS) in their native languages. We were responsible for translating and adapting these technical specifications into Spanish and Portuguese, ensuring that all packaging copy was accurate and fully aligned with local market requirements and food labeling standards.
Product Photography & Home Economics: We produced the original photography featured on the packs. Leveraging our advanced culinary training at the Hoffman Culinary School and our expertise as Home Economists, we applied professional food styling techniques to ensure the product appeared appetizing and authentic.​​​​​​​
Technical Substrate Management: In food retail, the diversity of materials is immense. We managed the adaptation of final artworks for various substrates (flexible plastics, folding cartons, laminates, or labels). We controlled printing variables to ensure that the "GutBio Green" and image quality remained consistent across all materials and printing techniques.
Regulatory Coordination: We worked in close collaboration with Regulatory and Quality departments. We ensured that all legal information, translated nutritional claims, and organic seals strictly complied with the current legislation in the Iberian region.
International Management: A Link to European Suppliers
Given ALDI’s global supply chain, we coordinated production with an extensive network of international suppliersacross Europe.
Intermediation & Quality Control: We acted as the technical bridge between international manufacturers and the brand, supervising the alignment of each supplier's technical specifications with the design to ensure a flawless shelf presence.
